Job description, responsibilities and duties:
Work in a fast paced startup-like environment. Work as part of a cross disciplinary teams including data scientists, software engineers and domain experts. Lead development by developing prototypes, training and mentoring business/scientific and development teams and developing, enhancing and consistently using best practices. Translate business requirements into analytics algorithms and data flows. Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve software. Manage individual project priorities, deadlines and deliverables.
Requirements
Requirements:
- Understanding of object oriented programming and design
- Efficient algorithm development
- Hands on software development experience with Java
- Development experience with web technologies
- REST services
- Proficiency with industry-standard development and productivity tools (JIRA, - Confluence, Git, SVN, Jenkins)
- Unix/Linux environment
Nice to have:
- Experience with Jersey, Dropwizard
- Maven or Gradle experience
- Experience with relational database and NoSQL technologies
- Knowledge of Hadoop / Spark

- Ability to learn, absorb and apply new knowledge rapidly
