Job description
You will be responsible for the continuous development of our existing ASP.Net MVC applications as well as creating new ones.
Your responsibilities:
- Implementation of new functionality into our ASP.Net MVC web-based applications, which are designed and developed in-house
- Porting of functionality from older ASP.Net/ASP applications to latest ASP.Net MVC framework
For the two responsibilities above your tasks include:
- Clarification & documentation of requirements
- Communication and agreement of interfaces with other applications/development teams as applicable
- High- and low level design
- Implementation (including unit testing and developer testing)
- Active participation: we expect you to come up with suggestions/approaches/new strategies and ideas.
Requirements
Your profile:
- Technical education (completion of a higher technical college as a minimum) or corresponding experience
- Experience in the development of complete ASP.Net MVC applications (front end/back end/database).
- Solid expertise in software development with the following technologies:
- .NET 4.0+ (ideally with C#)
- ASP.Net MVC
- Entity Framework
- Basic front-end development (HTML, java script and jQuery, CSS – no graphics required)
- T-SQL (on SQL Server 2008 and 2012) (application developer level, not DB developer level)
- Consuming web services
- Communication level command of English, with decent writing skills. German is nice to have, but not necessary.
An Asset:
- Experience with other .Net frameworks (e.g. log4net)
- Experience with large scale multi user systems (high concurrency, high load systems)
- Focus on scalability and performance
- Basic IIS administration
- Debugging & troubleshooting
