Job description
- test preparation of test scenarios according to technical specification within DWH area
- test execution mainly from middle-ware and back-end point of view (no front-end testing)
- tracking and reporting of test progress within assigned area to Team Lead
- proactive identification of issues and timely escalation to Team Lead
- communication with other testers, design and development team members
- quality tracking of defects and test execution results in English language within JIRA (test management tool)
- retest of fixed defects
- test data identification and preparation
Required skills & experience
- At least one of following:
• Experience with application and integration testing (communication between systems via APIs/interfaces, webservices) - min. 2 years
• Experience with Data Warehouse testing or development – min. 1 year
- Practical knowledge of software testing methodology - min. 2 years
- Experience with preparation of test scenarios according to technical specification - min. 1 year
- Understanding of UML diagrams (sequence/activity diagrams), data model
- Knowledge of SQL (select, update, insert, join)
- Experience with defect and test scenarios tracking tools (e.g. JIRA, RCQ, HPQC…)
- Experience with system integration projects - min. 2 years
- Active English language (both in written and spoken)
- Analytical thinking, sense for detail, team spirit, reliability, proactive approach
- Experience with reading and analysis of application logs in order to identify issues/defects
- Willingness to travel (expected location of work most of the time – Brno, CZ)
Work with tools:
• JIRA
• WinSCP/PuTTY
• SVN
• SQL Developer or similar - select, update, insert, join
• MS Excel – advanced
• CloverETL – advantage but not necessary
• or adequate similar tools to above mentioned
Advantage:

• work with Enterprise Architect (EA) tool, or at least ability to read outputs from EA - e.g. sequence and activity diagrams
