Job description
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for leading and motivating junior and senior testers within assigned test area (no front-end testing)
- Design and execution of application and integration tests from middle-ware and back-end systems point of view within assigned test area
- To assure complex coverage of assigned functional area with test scenarios
- To communicate with different stakeholders: US client (business end-users), internal development and infra teams, design team
- Proactive approach for pushing activities and assigned tasks
- Driving of test progress within assigned test area
- Responsible for quality tracking of test execution results in JIRA (test management tool)
- Responsible for quality tracking and management of defects identified during tests (in JIRA)
- Test preparation status and test execution status reporting to Test manager
- Proactive and timely escalations to Test Manager in case of any identified issues and/or potential risks
Required skills & experience
- Experience with preparation and execution of manual tests - min. 3 years
- Experience with testing of SOAP and REST WS APIs without use of front-end
- Practical knowledge of software testing methodology
- Experience with IT implementation projects within complex IT landscape (i.e. multiple integrated systems)
- Experience with test management tools (e.g. JIRA, RCQ, HPQC…)
- Knowledge of SOAP UI - at least on basic level
- Experience with SQL (select, insert, update, join)
- Necessary ability to read/interpret UML diagrams (sequence and activity diagrams…)
- Active knowledge of English language (both in written and spoken)
- Good analytical thinking and sense for detail
- Experience with leading small team (3-5 members)
- Ability to effectively delegate tasks within the team and coordinate tasks execution
- Good communication skills, ability to communicate effectively with test team members, with technical/development teams, with functional/design team, with UAT testers/business owners
- Ability to work independently on poorly defined and complex tasks
- Ability and willingness to learn and utilize new technical skills quickly
